Way Behind, in Need of a Catch up.

We never carve our pumpkins until Halloween day. And the kids were very excited to break out the knives and start cutting.
Sophie wore her antlers all day. She had worn them to Seminary that morning and kept them on all day.

Here they are ready to go trick or treat around the neighborhood.
That extra boy is a friend of ours that comes to go trick or treating with us.
I bought this blue dress for Sophie for her birthday. Since she has outgrown her purple Merida dress she was in need of another fancy "dress up" so I found this one. She thought it was the perfect outfit for Halloween. Just add the antlers ad some fairy wings and she is some sort of woodland fairy.
Molly wore the green dress again and paired it with the french hood that Sophie made for her class last year. She was some sort of princess or renaissance girl.  Ian quickly threw on his Harry Potter robe again for about the 5th or 6th year in a row.  And Henry wore the crayon costume again this year.

The boys decided they were old enough to trick or treat without us so they went with a whole group of friends and canvased the neighborhood filling their bags with candy.  And Sophie took Molly and some other little girls around the neighborhood. The parents got to stay home and hand out candy to the kids that came to our house.  It was a fun, quiet Halloween experience.  The kids ate their candy for days after that but that is all part of the fun!
