The kids could not wait for Halloween night to finally arrive and Dad to come home so they could get all dressed up and go. We had rain off and on through out the day so we didn't know if it was going to be a dry evening for Trick or Treating but it turned out to be a lovely night for a walk around Grandma and Grandpa's block. The rain started just as we were finishing the street and almost back to our car.
Doesn't Sophie look great in her Princess costume. Complete with her new brown boots.
Ian wouldn't hear of being anything but a pirate. So his costume was rather simple. A bandana around his head and vest. He had a eye patch and a hat that didn't make it very far. And he wouldn't let me draw/paint on a beard or mustache. All the kids loved looking at all the decorations people put up in their yards. Henry got a little spooked by some of them. But most of the houses weren't too creepy, thank goodness.
We didn't stay out too long and the rain did start so we quickly headed home to see our loot. I let the kids have at it. They dumped out their candy and started to tuck in. I spent the rest of the night picking up wrappers.
When you ask Henry what his costume is he says Seymour. He calls every skeleton "Seymour" because in one of his favorite books you find the skeleton on each page and it's name is Seymour.
No hyper kids here!
Henry just couldn't get enough lollies in his mouth.
Yep there were three at once.Enjoy it now because tomorrow the candy will be rationed.
I hope you all had a great Halloween too!
