What more can a boy ask for?

Ian had a birthday. He is now 9 years old. I can't believe how big he is getting already. He is certainly turning into a little man and looks less and less like a little boy.
Here he is at breakfast with his morning present. It is our tradition to get one present to open on the morning of your birthday. So he opened his gift from his Grandma. And Grandma knew just what this boy would like. Look at his happy boy with his new Barricade ? Yes my boys know all the names of all the different Nerf guns.
After going out to dinner which is nice little gift for Mom as well as makes the birthday boy feel special since going out to dinner is not something we do often we returned home for presents.

We didn't make a cake for Ian this year. I think we may make one for him when we have guest over for dinner later this week but since we went out to eat and had dessert there it just wasn't really missed. Presents are way more exciting than cake.
Ian got a new tool.
A real multi use tool that is pliers, a knife and a screw driver.....
and a bunch more.
And of course his other Grandma knew Legos are always a great gift for this lego crazy boy.
Ian seems to think he had a great birthday. He has been excitedly telling everyone about his new tool and has been out trying out his new skates with Henry several times already.  We sure love our Ian and am glad he is part of our family!

I think Ian had a good birthday! That multi-use tool will get a lot of use on that robot. I hear that there is a new addition to the robot family--one that can smell, and work like a snake. It was in the paper yesterday.
