Our 4th of July.

We had a rather mild 4th of July. We went to our church for a flag raising and pancake breakfast. That was fun and the kids enjoyed singing some of the patriotic songs we had been listening to all week.
We then took a trip to our favorite park to run around a little before it got hot.
The kids love these trees. They are perfect for little guys to climb in.

We wore our water shoes and went wading in the stream that goes through the park. Sophie tried to catch one of the ducks but it ended up being more of a chase.

Henry loved being alowed to spash as much as he wanted. Both boys loved throwing rocks into the water.

We had some American food for dinner. Hamburgers and corn on the cob, followed by some apple crisp with whipped cream filled us all up,.

We didn't stay up to see fireworks but we heard them going off all over our neighborhood once it was dark.
